Open the PDF tab, import your PDF, then use Copy page text for one page or download all text as a .txt or .md file.

Does it work on scanned PDFs?

Only if the PDF has a real text layer. Scanned pages are images with no text, and OCR is not included.

Is text extraction private?

Yes. The text is read in your browser and nothing is uploaded to a server.

Can I get markdown instead of plain text?

Yes. Download as .md to get the text with a heading for each page.
